The
Junior Leagues of Florida State Public Affairs Committee is currently governed by three documents: its Guidelines,
its General Policies, and it’s Position Statements.
The
Guidelines and Policies set forth rules for executive committee member selection and responsibilities, financial dealings,
voting procedures, and other policies that have to do with the function of the organization.
The
Position Statements document outlines policies that all the member Junior Leagues have agreed to support. If a legislative
issue is “covered” by a Position Statement, the State Public Affairs Committee may pursue
legislative or educational initiatives, stating that the issue is supported by the Junior Leagues of Florida.
These documents
may be changed by following the voting procedures described in the Guidelines and General Policies.
