LINKING PAC AND SPAC

As a SPAC member, it is your responsibility to inform and educate your fellow League members about the initiatives and goals of SPAC through the work of your local Public Affairs Committee (PAC). This may not always be easy, but it is essential to building a foundation of support in our local Leagues.

Building this foundation can be as simple as utilizing time during meetings to give members a sneak peek into what SPAC is working on for the year. Also, using e-blasts and other online social media can deliver important information in tidbits that are easier for busy members on-the-go to digest. 

RECRUIT COMMITTEE MEMBERS & EDUCATE YOUR LEAGUE ON THE POWER OF ADVOCACY!

Now is the time to make sure that next year's Public Affairs/Public Policy and Advocacy Committees have enough members, and that your members know what's going on!

Remember, as a Junior League member, you have access to the Association of Junior Leagues, International (AJLI) website as well. Go to ajli.org and explore what other PACs are doing in their communities and communcate with League members around the world. Don't forget to join the Public Affairs group on the AJLI site as well and participate in their monthly conference calls!
